Does anybody know you?

Knowing someone is much more than spending some time with this person. There are people who will never get to know you, even if they try to.
Sometimes we spend a long time with the same people and even so they don’t get to know us. They think they do but the truth is that we don’t allow them to do it. And maybe it’s not because we don’t like them. It’s just because we know they wouldn’t understand us if they could figure us out. And that could make them suffer…
You can think of a person as someone but this person can be exactly the opposite of what you suppose. What we see can be an illusion. Actually we see what our eyes want to. If we could always look at someone with the eyes of the reason, we wouldn’t have to worry about it.
Parents don’t know their children, children don’t know their parents, siblings don’t know each other, friends don’t know each other… This is a very sad and common situation. I guess there are people who aren’t known by anybody. How can they live? How can they survive? How can they go on?
There must be at least one person on Earth who gets to know you the way you really are. Someone who knows your weaknesses, your flaws, your fears and everything that you hide in your heart, and loves you above all of these. There must be someone to whom you take your mask off, to whom you speak your mind up, on whom you can rely.
I am happy to have some people like that around me. And I’m specially thankful for my husband, my best friend, the one who knows me very well and even so is able to love me the way I am.
